Client Objective

Coming from a previous company known for extravagant locations and substantial budgets, the CRO wanted to recreate a memorable experience at a unique and hard-to-reach destination. It was essential to find a five-star resort that could accommodate 50 rooms, offering action, adventure, and opportunities for attendees to immerse themselves in the local culture, while also staying within his new company’s budget limitations.

The RnE Solution

Our destination selection of Madeira Portugal, the “Hawaii of Europe,” allowed us to achieve all the unique requests and expectations of our client. The Savoy Palace in Funchal was an ideal choice—modern, with exceptional service and amenities. Located between the ocean and Funchal’s mountains, attendees could enjoy poolside relaxation or tour the cultural sites of the city. For the adventurous, a challenging grade-4 hike offered stunning views during a four-hour Peak to Peak journey or canyoning through the Madeira highland waterfalls and cliff sides. For the wine lovers, we offered a Wine and Jeep tour of the famous Madeira wineries. For camaraderie and team building, we organized a traditional Portuguese scavenger hunt called Peddy Paper. This engaging activity brought the team together as they completed tasks that showcased the local culture, history, and traditions, ending with a lunch at a 17th-century waterfront castle.
